2400 years ago an ancient Chinese general, Sun Tzu, wrote a book called The Art of War. In the book he states that if you want to win a war you must teach your troops the principle of invincibility or going beyond the possibility of defeat.

This is precisely what the Apostle Paul taught in Ephesians 6. In this passage Paul describes the Armor of God as a weapon against the devil’s schemes or strategies that seek to stagnate or stop our lives from reaching their full potential. With these weapons we are to “stand” against such tactics. The word “stand” means to stand effectively or invincibly.
