Unstoppable – Part 3

Principles on Momentum

The kingdom is also the location and resources of God. God has already blessed us with every spiritual (supernatural) blessing in the heavenly realm (kingdom) in Christ Jesus (finished work) (Ephesians 1:2, 3). We must understand what He did by grace, so we can receive it by faith. It makes us unstoppable.

Lastly, the kingdom is defined by Romans 14:17, as “…righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” Why does Paul use these 3 characteristics to describe the kingdom? It is because these qualities make us unstoppable:

  1. Righteousness – this is not our righteousness, but God’s (2 Cor. 5:20; Romans 3:22). Righteousness is right standing with the Father not based on what we’ve done but based on what He has done and we receive it by faith. It is more about God than it is about us. Thus, we can stand before God without guilt, fear, inferiority or condemnation. It is those 4 qualities that often cause us to feel disqualified to receive from God or be used by God. We are qualified in Christ (Col. 1:12). It is this understanding that the psalmist says, “the righteous shall never be shaken” (112:3-8). We are once again confident and qualified.
  2. Peace – This word means the ability to be unmoved by our circumstances. When what you see in the unseen is more dominant than the seen, the unseen will dominate the seen. What grace provides, peace keeps (Eph. 1:2, 3; Isa. 26:3). Such peace refocuses God’s people.
  3. Joy – This word means a radical anticipation of good. Our eschatology needs to be less focused on the anti-Christ, the beast and the state of Israel, and more focused on “My God is working all things together for my good.” Thus, in difficult times I count it all joy, because it can cause me to persevere, so that I lack nothing (Jas. 1:2-4). It is joy with its twin brother thanksgiving (1 Thess. 5:16) that regurgitated Jonah from the belly of Moby Dick to a revival in Nineveh. It made him unstoppable.

God’s kingdom cannot be stopped and neither will His people.
