Fresh Oil – Part 2

(Continued from Fresh Oil – Part 1)

God is in the process of releasing a New Reformation in His church. Note the 5 premises of Luther’s Reformation in 1517 and what God wants to do today:

  • Reformation                       New Reformation
  • Christ Alone                            Move of people not a just a person
  • Scripture alone                       Intimacy with God through His grace
  • Grace alone                             People who know their identity in Him
  • Faith alone                              Understanding faith doesn’t believe God will, but God has
  • Glory of God alone                That we fully understand God’s Kingdom

It is essential that we possess a fresh (something not past its best, not previously known or experienced) empowerment and ability of God’s anointing. If Jesus needed the anointing (Acts 10:38, Luke 4:18), it is likely we need to tap into this fresh invigoration from Him in this hour. The essence of this anointing is simply this understanding – God is with us (See Acts 10:38). The way to get God to be with us is to be with Him. God doesn’t bless our plans…His plans are already blessed.

When God anointed Saul (1 Samuel 10:1, 6), 4 things happened in his life:

  1. Power – Not the atmosphere of a good worship team or a finely tuned oration but power from God to heal, deliver and influence.
  2. Prophecy – Not prophecy over individuals. We need leaders who will once again prophesy the counsel of the Lord to government and power brokers.
  3. Changed into a different person – Saul was changed into a different person. You may be struggling or even feel unqualified, but let God’s freedom change you into a different person. Don’t be afraid to step out. The results in California were healings too numerous to name. There were countless leaders and believers refreshed to step into their destinies.
  4. Once these 3 things were done, God said, do whatever your hand finds to do. Wow!

Remember 1 John 2:20, 27 tell us two essential things:

  1. “You have an anointing from the Holy one and all of you know the truth.”
  2. There is an anointing that abides with you always.

You don’t need to get an anointing; you simply need to renew your mind to what you already possess. It’s time to step out of the shadows and into the light with a fresh (something not past its best, freshly invigorated, something beyond what you have presently known or experienced) anointing.

Let’s do amazing!
